Eligibility:
Teachers' recommendation, nomination won out of 9,10,11th graders in the school
I became a winner of the award by leading and participating in lots of activities that help society to be a better place in both social and individual aspects. Through those activities, I could find what my vision was and eventually could focus more on the vision which was making a society without any discrimination and prejudice.
Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Award
11th grade
Eligibility:
Teachers' nomination/recommendation, one out of all the freshman, sophomore, and junior in the school
I became a winner of the award by developing my coding techniques by making a website and developing two apps and putting effort into building and programming robots to successfully achieve one's role.
Suffolk University Book Award for high achievement and rigor
11th grade
Eligibility:
Teachers' recommendation, nominated. Winner out of 9,10,11th grade in the school
I read a lot of books in the library with diverse genres, worked hard to improve my English reading skills, spent a lot of time finding deep insights from each book, and participated in reading activities and challenges that the school library provided.
Lucas Spencer Passion Fund Award
11th grade
Eligibility:
Requirements are written essays and activities that show one's passion. All the students who are attending the academy could apply for this event and only two or three students can be selected.
I wrote an essay to gain a fund to use as a budget for buying a flute practiced the flute and read a book about flute every day after school for about an hour to two hours in the school Music building borrowed from the school. I played around 6 different music by myself since there were no chance for me to be taught by someone.
Pi Cone North League Math Competition (state)
10th grade
Eligibility:
A person who took part in the school math team, a member of Platinum(the highest team in the math team).
I got 2nd place in the competition by constantly exploring the concept of mathematics, reviewing all the contents that I've learned previously, solving a bunch of practice questions, helping other members who are struggling, and applying diverse methods in one question to find better answer approaches and improve my thinking skills.
